Perhaps, one of the most exciting events in dating online Ukrainian brides is planning your first trip to Ukraine and meeting your online date face to face for the first time. Needless to say, both of you look forward to specific hopes, and probably harbor some apprehensions too. It will be apparent later on that not all your expectations would come true and that there was no reason to worry either.

However, unexpectedly your first date in Ukraine you might discover some things you would never have thought would give you any trouble. I am talking about various cultural difference issues. Most of them may seem to you small and insignificant, but in the course of dating Ukrainian brides they may prove to be quite destructive to your relationship. Thus, we will take a look at some of such issues you may have to deal with.

Dress Code. Many men, mainly those from the United States, may get the surprise of their life by the Ukrainian ladies dress style, which almost borders to immodesty. Ukrainian women are aware that they have beautiful bodies and are not uncomfortable in showing them off. But this liberality in dressing style does not mean that they are the same way towards sex. Many women would not agree to have sex on their first date. Some would not even have sex with a man, who they are not betrothed or married to.

Now, dating Ukrainian brides, you have to realize that at times your dress style may shock them as well. Lots of American and European men prefer to wear casual or sports clothes. For instance, French men love wearing corduroy pants, while Americans love wearing jeans and shorts. However, such casual clothes may seem to your Ukrainian lady inappropriate for dating activities, such as dining out, theatre night, etc.

Smiling and chewing gum. Americans consider smiling and chewing gum as part of their way of life. Ukrainians go for the same habits, only in a different way. Because of this difference Americans think the Ukrainians are glum. This is not quite true, because Ukrainians also smile and know how to have fun, but only among the people they know. So if you keep on smiling and being cheery to everybody, including those you are not acquainted with even in public places, then people, including your lady, might think you might be a loony.

As for the chewing gum, Ukrainians, especially the older ones, consider it bad manners to talk to someone and chew gum at the same time. People consider it as an annoying and bad habit.

Flowers. Your Ukrainian lady would really love to receive flowers from you on your first date, but never give her a bouquet with an even number of flowers, as this is only for funerals. Do not give them yellow flowers also, as yellow symbolizes separation. So, if your lady is quite superstitious, she may consider it as a bad sign for the relationship and therefore you’ll loose your chance.
