If you have gotten the rush and excited from your first pup or adoption and the feelings have sunk in, it’s about time you start dog training basics. The first and foremost thing you’ll teach as a new owner is basic commands. These are the common commands you’ll need to make your dog obey you.

The most common and most used command is the command “sit”. This is also one of the most important commands since you need it to ensure your dog stays put, whenever it’s owner tells it to.

The third command is “come”. This is another command created for keeping out of trouble. This is to keep your dog within reach of the owner, and it’s a very positive thing to have your dog respond to this command. Final results, people are able to keep control of their dogs more easily.

The fourth command you’ll teach your dog is “heel”. This is an awesome command which allos your dogs to walk alongside your body. It’s commonly used for walking with a loose leash or if you are a little more daring, even without a leash.

The “down” command is one of the commands that help your dog lie down. This is perfect to prevent your dog from jumping on people in public and embarass you. “Off” command is another interesting command which allows you to say “off” and your dog is controlled not to jump or scare people.

So, these are some of the dog training tips, which teach dogs to execute certain functions. If dogs and their owners are able to get over these commands, owners will surely notice that their dogs have become calmer and more alert than before.

The faster you start and the more you teach your dog, the faster you’ll see results. Yes, this job does require some good patience, but the rewards are great. Master these basic commands and you’ll see that your dog is fast to respond and easy to handle, always obeying your every command.
