Educational Computer Programs
Filed Under Reference & Education |
There are many computer schools in the United States that educate computer workers and this number has been escalating because of the need for expert Information Technology (IT) employees.
Since there are many places of learning to choose from, it’s worth it to take the time to decide on the computer school that is best. When searching for the top computer education, take into account the reputation of the school, the availability of courses, the type of studies, whether the courses cover the latest technology, the student to teacher ratio, and the graduation rate of the computer school. Most of this information can be found in leaflets, pamphlet, or the individual school’s website.
Even with all the information readily available it’s still difficult to coordinate it to make relevant comparisons between schools and find your top computer school. To make this process a bit more fluid, certain companies produce yearly reports on the various schools and courses offered, then compile these results. The US News and World Report is one such consumer service that has surveyed more than 2000 institutions in 2006 and then compiled an index of the various student, degree, and course statistics.
According to the US News and World Report, The University of California, Berkeley; the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Carnegie Mellon University (PA); Stanford University; Cornell University (NY); University of Washington; Princeton University (NJ); Rice University (TX); University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign; University of Wisconsin-Madison; University of Pennsylvania; Harvard University (MA); University of California-Los Angeles; and Columbia University (NY); are some of the top institutions in the United States of America, in the computers field.
There are some online computer institutes that also offer licensing, bachelor, and associate degrees in IT; to name a few, DeVry University, ITT Technical Institute and the University of Phoenix. These online computer schools provide in depth education via their computer training schools, computer graphic schools, computer hardware schools, computer science schools and many other programs.
