Your Hoodia Diet Pills Didn’t Work?

If your hoodia diet pills aren’t working, they probably aren’t authentic hoodia gordonii capsules. After taking a product with the hoodia label and finding it ineffective, many people wrongfully assume that hoodia just doesn’t work. The truth is it does work for the majority of people; the problem is with the manufacturers. They are fooling consumers into thinking they are purchasing the real deal, when they are really purchasing a fake.

All hoodia capsules are not the same! If you have purchased the least expensive hoodia available, you probably wasted your money. Authentic hoodia gordonii is not cheap. The plant is found primarily in South Africa but is Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and in some parts of the U.S. Many of the hoodia supplements you will find on store shelves don’t come from these countries. Also, there are 13 varieties of the plant, but only the hoodia gordonii variety has the appetite suppressing qualities that you are looking for. If the label doesn’t clearly say “hoodia gordonii” on it, you are most likely looking at a product that is made from another variety of hoodia.

Another way that companies are fooling consumers is they are not using the proper part of the hoodia gordonii plant inside their capsules. The aerial stems of the plant have P57, the active molecule in the plant responsible for suppressing appetite. Some companies will use the entire plant to cut costs. It is cheaper to use the entire plant then just the aerial stems. Unfortunately, when the entire plant is used, it isn’t nearly as effective.

Some people will need several hundred milligrams of hoodia per day in order for it to work. Hoodia supplements should contain a minimum of 400mg of hoodia gordonii in each pill or capsule. There are some high end hoodia gordonii capsules that have as much as 750mg per capsule. Some of the supplements sold today contain as little as 25 or 50mg per capsule. To get a proper dose of hoodia gordonii per day, a person would have to take several capsules of these inferior products that don’t contain enough hoodia.

Only authentic hoodia can suppress appetite. The only way to know for sure if a product contains authentic hoodia is through independent lab testing. Before you buy a hoodia supplement, visit the company’s website and see if they have any lab test results posted. If they don’t, the product may not contain authentic hoodia.

One thing you should know is that it can take two weeks for your body to acclimate to hoodia gordonii. Don’t give up before this time and think the hoodia is not working for you. If after two weeks of taking the correct dosage of authentic hoodia gordonii you have not noticed a change, your body may not be responsive to it. There is a minority of individuals who will not respond to hoodia, no matter the dosage or brand.

Now that you have the information you need about hoodia gordonii, it should answer some questions as to why the hoodia you were taking probably didn’t work! Don’t feel bad if you were fooled by a fake. Now that you are equipped and educated, you can wisely shop for authentic hoodia gordonii and avoid the scams.
