What Does Problem Solving have to do with the Law of Attraction?
It is a well-known fact that a logical and clear mind can take focused and productive action. A confused mind will take confused, unfocused, unproductive action. The situation becomes more ironical because most often we don’t even realize we’re confused! The Universal mind or the mind surrounding you, the mind from which you draw your energies, is constantly and systematically responding to your most dominant emotional thoughts and beliefs. It does not judge the positive or negative energy, but simply responds by delivering like energy. This is the Law of Attraction at work.
The mind is a very powerful part of us, and you must learn how to control it. You have to be able to effectively problem solve for your own well being. This process is going to allow you to keep most of your positive energy and use it to achieve your goals. In order to get to this point though you have to allow your thoughts to flow freely without hiding them or judging them. Most of us do this all the time and it is a learned behavior you will have to work hard at changing.
A common problem that is found in our school systems is that teachers are always asking students for answers to questions that they don’t know. Yet they should be asking them about things they do know. This is a very common thought that was coined long ago by Albert Einstein. It is this ideal of questions that are focused though that is very important for the process of mind storming to be successful.
2. What Do I Want?
1. What is the true problem you are faced with?
2. What is it that you really want to achieve as the result of the situation?
3. What methods can you incorporate to ensure are able to get those types of results from the situation?
Take a short period of time to answer these three questions for yourself. Don’t analyze the answers you come up with. Write them down so you can review them in more detail later on. Your answers may be things you can physically do or mentally do for yourself. Emotions that a person has as well as their Spiritual beliefs can affect the answers that they come up with.
1. What is the real problem you need to solve? You need to try to focus on one main problem at a time. This way you don’t get too many things going at once. While you can’t always only have one thing on your plate to deal with, you can do this process for each one of them separately. Make sure the real underlying issues are what you are tackling, not the results of them.
2. What do you want the outcome to be? Pay close attention to the energy you are getting from within yourself. Identify if that source of energy is positive or negative for you. It is important for you to follow the course of action that is going to give you the positive energy. Here is a good exercise you can try:
You can get more in depth information with this one by doing a very simple written exercise. Divide the piece of paper into three columns. Next you need to make a list in each of them that reflects:
3.What is the opposite of what I do not want (listed above)
Don’t sit around and take time to evaluate what you are writing down. Just let the thoughts and emotions flow onto your paper. You will be amazed at how much you are able to benefit from this process. It is going to make problem solving smoother and easier for you than it has been in the past. You can fold your sheet of paper so that the middle column isn’t showing. All you will have left is the positive information from columns one and three.
You can get what you want be focusing on your positive energy. You can make this process much easier for yourself just by looking for a good solution to your problem. Find out what has worked and not worked for others in a similar situation. Then you can take that information and tweak it to fit your own specific needs. This is going to be one of the most effective tools you can use in making the road to your goals an easier one to walk down.
You can do yourself a favor and learn from the failures as well as the accomplishments of others. You don’t have to go all the way back to the drawing board in order to be successful. Find out what has worked for other people with your same situation. You will likely find several methods that have been tried and worked well. You can then choose the one that seems to evoke the most positive emotions from you. Taking such shortcuts to establish your goal can allow you to focus more of your time on what steps you are going to have to take in order to reach those goals.
To get what you want you may want to ask yourself Jim Rohn’s three questions:
It is important to understand all of this is a work in process. You have to want it enough to be willing to work towards it. You aren’t going to be successful if you don’t commit to putting forth the effort it takes.
Success does not drop into our laps. Nothing worth having comes without a price. Success and the joy of achievement are gained. You need to visualize your problem, figure out the possible solution and then ACT.
