Bob Dylan uses to play an acoustic guitar and many folk music fans felt that the electric guitar was a tool of loud and obnoxious rock music. But Dylan didn’t care and went on to revolutionize the world of music by simply plugging in and playing an electric guitar. Blues music is a little different. Blues music got started with acoustic blues guitar but once the old blues musicians got a listen to that electric guitar the acoustic blues guitar was left in the dust. It is kind of a shame because some of the best blues music is the early stuff played on acoustic blues guitar.

Around 1930s, a movement had developed in Chicago with full success. Some of the blues musicians from Mississippi Delta are, brought their brands of that music to the city. The top famous artists of this industry in Chicago were Muddy Waters and Son House. They were playing the acoustic blues guitar until the audience became wild. When Howling Wolf came, he picked up the electric guitar and left the acoustic blues guitar away. The days of the new acoustic blues guitar began. Howling started with the assistance of other musicians recording classic acoustic blues on electric guitars, sending the new music to audiences. Later on, Robert Johnson became such a treasure.

As soon as the electric guitar controlled the blues world, Jimi Hendrix insisted to record his movie while playing. As he was playing Here My Train A Comin’, a feeling such as locating on the delta near the turn of the century facing us. Especially, during those days when Robert Johnson was entering one bar and leaving it to another, just for an aim of preserving his guitar’s playing. Looking to that great time, we will aware that we lost it forever.

Yet, the acoustic guitar gets its due on blues and rock records it was completely different from the basic instrument that were used to be previously. No doubt, the sound would not misunderstand, considering that its music was coming from deep spirits. Unfortunately, we will never listen to music such as that again.
