The easiest way to explain this is to tell you what the word “PODS” mean. A POD which stands for Portable On-Demand Storage and it’s basically a large metal cubical that you pack and lock yourself.

The benefit of a PODS unit is that you don’t have to move a cumbersome moving truck around a town or tight city. All you do it pack and unpack the unit and the POD Company does all the driving. How wonderful is that. This is especially great when you have kids and pets to contend with.

At least with moving pods you have some sense of what moving is all about but the small difference is you have some control over the process. you pack the container and move it when it is convenient for you not the movers and packers from moving companies.

Make sure you check with the company for accurate rates because rates vary due to seasons. If you use a pods system you can avoid this problem entirely and still overall saving yourself a lot of hassle and money. Something to consider however, make sure when you accept the quote for the unit that you need.

The main points to consider might be to avoid contracting pods for long distance moving because the cost is just about the same if not more for traditional packers and movers. Move out of season to get a favorable rate if possible and finally get that discount by shopping around.
