Honest Self Assessment Will Help You Get Your Ex Back

Honesty is essential when you are trying to repair a broken relationship. You have to be honest with your ex, but most of all you have to make sure you are not deceiving yourself.

You want your ex back badly, but do you know why? Many people in your situation react the way they do not from love, but from jealousy.

These people do not want to get back with an ex because they think it’s the right thing for both of them, but only because they can’t stand to see him or her with someone else.

The human mind can have difficulty separating love from jealousy. Try your best to work it out though because if it is just jealousy that makes you want to get your ex back you are probably doomed to failure and putting yourself through a lot of misery for no good reason.

Now if you have worked out that your reasons for wanting your ex back are good ones, that you really believe restarting your relationship is in the best interests of you and your ex you have another bit of honest pondering to do.

Think about why the relationship broke up in the first place. And be honest with yourself. This is no time to play the blame game.

Be ready and willing to accept the blame for the ending of your relationship.

Because in fact you have more chance of rebuilding your relationship with your ex if the responsibility for the break up rests mainly on your shoulders.

Think of it this way.

If you were perfect and your ex was wholly responsible for the break up then there is nothing you can change that will get him or her back. Don’t start thinking you can make your ex change, because you can’t.

If the break up was your fault though, then you have the opportunity to make changes to yourself that may help you to renew the relationship.

Be honest with yourself. Do your best to understand why you want your ex back and what you did to cause the break up and you have a great chance of getting your ex back.
